Pudelpointer Breed Information

The
Pudelpointer is a relatively rare breed with a small gene pool. Dedicated breeders
have spent years in selective breeding programs to rid the breed of hip dysplasia,
develop spirited performance, companionable temperaments, and produce wire coats
with appropriate furnishings. Members of PCNA understand that only with continued
careful breeding can these standards be maintained. For more information about
the standards, see Breed Improvement Test Rules
in the tests section.
Dogs
are sold or transferred only with a binding contract to follow the Breeding
Rules and Regulations, allowing the Breeding Committee to facilitate breeding
of only those dogs that will be most likely to maintain and improve the breed.
